Volume 1
Drawing on his experience in playing many thousand sessions, for some of the Worlds leading recording artists and Producers, Charlie has identified thirty of the "Grooves" which characterise his style, and which are the actual patterns he played on many of the hit songs on his credit list.

These grooves were digitally recorded at THE TOWNHOUSE studios, to the highest possible specifaction, and are presented on CD, in 4 bar loops, along with a start/stop, plus two fills for each pattern. All recorded at various tempi, allowing to user to build his own personalised drum track.

Two kits were used to make the recording, and both have been sampled extensively on the CD, enabling the user to customise the patterns to fit their requirments, or program new patterns using Charlies drum kit.

There are a number of usefull Hi hat & Ride Cymbal loops.

The loops and samples are logically laid out, making this CD user-friendly, and a valuable working tool for anyone using sampled drums.

Volume 2
For this second visit to the 'Master Drums' challenge, Charlie has looked toward the rock themes. Using numerous kits, in numerous ambient configurations, Master drums 2 is a remarkable set of drum performances. Loops from MASTER DRUMS 2 have been used on many released albums since its release in 1995.

This disc is extremely simple to use - just load up the chosen pattern into your sampler, and you are presented with all the component parts to make up a professional drum track in less time than has ever been possible before. A real drummer, playing real drums.

The patterns are all clocked to a set tempo, ranging from 60BPM ballads to 180BPM hard rock grooves. This enables you to fit parts around the grooves with ease.

There is fun to be had here. For Songwriters - playing with these patterns is like having a co-writer on the song.

For Producers - all the advantages of having a top session drummer without the cost.

This is a serious working tool and a must for anyone who would prefer to have a real drum kit, played by a real drummer on their recordings!
